Main Street Grant Community Reviewer Application

This fall African Career, Education and Resource Inc. (ACER) is seeking 7 to 9 community reviewers to volunteer and participate in reading and evaluating grant proposals for distributing DEED's Main Street Economic Revitalization Program grants. We are seeking people with experience in community development, capital projects, public financing, and economic development. Residents and business owners in the City of Brooklyn Park and the City of Brooklyn Center are strongly encouraged to apply.

The DEED Main Street Economic Revitalization Program will provide funds to micro-enterprises and small businesses to support recovery and rebuilding in Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center.

This grant opportunity will help businesses hit by the combined impact of COVID-19 and the destruction following the murder of George Floyd.

If you are interested in volunteering to participate as a community reviewer for the program, please fill out this application form. The information you provide in the application form will be used to determine if you qualify to assist with reading and evaluating grant proposals for competitive grants. You are not legally required to complete the application. There are no consequences for refusing to complete the application. The information you provide us with will be shared with ACER staff to determine your qualifications for participating as a community reviewer.

Small stipends will be provided to those who qualify.
